I was hoping this addon would allow me to add an image to the forum post - not as an attachment but embedded. I was able to drag and drop an image into the post, but after saving the post, the image has disappeared. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't want images embedded through URL links. I would like my users to be able to upload images (say of their holidays) directly from their PCs.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi David,

I don't see why you think it'll drag and drop image if the description of this plugin says this is a 3rd party content provider embedding addon, and it says the names of providers like Youtube, Vemio and etc... Embedding is not Uploading. You should purchase Advanced Attachments addon instead of Embedding addon.

I can see the confusion here. I've been using WordPress for several years, but this confusion almost got me as well. I'm referring to the difference between the two add-ons - Embed and Attachment Add-on. I would like to suggest giving a clear explanation of the difference.

wpForo Embeds is a 3rd party URL (Youtube, Soundcloud,...) embed-er addon.

wpForo Advanced Attachments is a file attachment plugin (image, video, audio, docs...)
