We installed the Private Comment add-on. We see the option when making an original comment on a Post. But there isn't the option when replying to someone else's comment. Is this not an option? Seems kinda useless to even have the plugin if it doesn't allow private comments when replying.

The wpDiscuz Private Comments feature is designed to work this way. The [private] button is used to make the entire comment thread private. In other words, only the parent comment can be set as private.
Currently, there is no simple way to make individual replies private.
