We created a topic for our members to determine which items should be in a poll. It appears that we cannot create the poll AFTER the topic has been created. Is that correct?

Hi,

Yes, that is correct. In wpForo, a poll needs to be created when creating the topic. There is currently no option to add a new poll to an existing topic after it has already been created.

If you need to create a poll based on an existing discussion, you would need to create a new topic with the poll and, if necessary, link to the original discussion.

Hmm. So we have an entire discussion in topic then thread and then have to create a new topic (poll) for the long discussion we just had in the forum? Seems a bit backwards. Any chance you plan to reprogram that function so the poll can be contained within the original discussion? Would make a little easier for the forum members instead of having to jump back and forth... could we use something similar to using the advanced attachments (we have that too) and link the poll program inside the existing forum?

I'll check with our developers and get back to you as soon as I have any updates.

@astgh Creating the poll inside the existing thread/topic is really the way to do it. Thanks.

We see that your license key has expired, so even if we add this feature, you won't be able to use it with your current license.

If you purchase the addon now, our developers can add the option for you soon. Otherwise, we'll include the feature in one of the upcoming versions.

Please let us know which option you prefer, and we'll be happy to proceed accordingly.

Our addon licenses are annual licenses that provide access to future updates and premium support. They do not renew automatically. Once the 365-day license period expires, the license status changes to Expired, and the addon will no longer receive new updates or license-protected support until the license is renewed.

Please note that an expired license does not mean that you lose the addon you purchased. According to our License Agreement, you can continue using the version you already have for an unlimited period. Renewal is only required if you would like to receive future addon updates and continue receiving the benefits included with the active license.

You can review our License Agreement here:
https://gvectors.com/terms-and-conditions/#gaining-download-access

Starting with wpForo 3.2.0, addon purchasing, license management, installation, and updates are fully supported through wpForo > Addons in your WordPress Dashboard. You no longer need to visit the gVectors Store, purchase the addon, and then download and install it manually. You can now purchase, install, and update addons directly from the wpForo > Addons page.

Find more information: https://wpforo.com/community/wpforo-announcements/wpforo-3-2-is-released/

Once you're ready to purchase the addon, please let us know. I'll then ask our team to include the feature you requested.

@astgh also the wp dashboard is showing wpForo Advanced Attachments renewal. From my understanding if it is working as planned and we do not need an update(?) then there is no need to re-subscribe and re-pay a fee? If so, when at what point does the reminder stop constantly showing after each 5-days?
