I just purchased wpDiscuz – Media Uploader with the intent of allowing users to upload custom levels using the level editor on my games website.
I have a custom file type for level files. ".ssave"
While I see in the settings a Custom File Types option, I don't see any documentation on how to use it,
I tried putting the extension name in but it's not working.
showing an error -
Memory Test.ssave (mimetype - application/octet-stream) - Not allowed file type

@jonathan-daar

Please try to fill the application/octet-stream in the Custom File types section.

@astgh there is no such section.
I attached a screenshot clearly showing I filled out the entire custom file type section.

If you were able to get custom file types to work on your end please give me a clear example of how you did so.

Ok Apparently the issue is with other built in file types as well!
.ini, .asc , whatever I add it says the same. Some file types do work like .zip but I get
"rLevel_On_Off_Intro.asc (mimetype - application/octet-stream) - Not allowed file type"

image

 I can upload it here though.
This makes it hard for me to find a work around.
