Longtime user of wpDiscuz, newer user of wpForo...

With comment sections and forums so important for community building, and Gvectors having a grasp on both, it just seems like it would make more sense for the integration and styling of both products to play better together.

For example, the wpDiscuz comment form is already well-designed, with the user avatar to the left and attachment icon on the far right of the menu.

It would be nice to have options to carry over similar styling to the forum as well. Not only would it be cleaner, but it would provide a better user experience overall.

Another example, why does the thumbs up and thumbs down have to be a completely different look? Just keep it the same throughout both plugins 🙂

I actually wish I could just have a wpDiscuz based forum, it's that much better of an experience.

Hi @c-s,

Thank you for your interest in our plugins. We'll take your suggestion under consideration. wpDiscuz is a comment plugin and it has commenting style whereas wpForo is designed for forum discussions. We'll do our best to make them look as close as possible, however wpForo will not look like wpDiscuz and vice versa.

Thank you for the reply. It makes sense from a separate product perspective, but does not make sense if you look at "the product" as the actual site using both plugins together.

Details matter. Icons in the text editor, for example, should give the same overall experience to the user of the site. Border radius, subscription settings (why not give users the ability to manage WP comment subscriptions in their profile as well), etc.

After all, the users of the site are the ultimate customer, even more than the site owner who pays for the plugins. Because if they are not given a seamless and well designed experience, they won't use the site. If they don't use the site, the site owner won't want to use the plugin.
