When we send someone a private message, how will they be notified? Will it be by email or would they have to access the forum to see any private messages?

Hi @khawaja-ahmad,
The users will receive the email notification if the "Email Notification" option is enabled from the add-on settings.
Besides the users will see new private message notification on Top Menu Bar, next to the search toggle. Also, Private Message notifications are integrated with forum notification system. More info here: https://wpforo.com/community/postid/38514/
