Can the "Messages" tab in wpForo profile be move to Forum Top Menu Bar?

Hello,

I'd like to purchase this addon but I have Ultimate Member installed and have the wpForo profile bypassed. Looking at the screenshots, it appears that the messages are handled within the wpForo profile.

Can the Messages tab located in wpForo profile be added to the main forum top menu bar so I can still access messages without going through the wpForo profile?

Hopefully this make sense.

Did a little digging and found this thread: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/addons/wpforo-private-messages/wpforo-private-messages-installation/

It shows how to add the Messages tab to the main forum menu, but doesn't have a screenshot of just the messages area opened up. So I don't know if it's going to open in the wpForo profile or not.

Sure, it's going to open in the wpForo profile. See the screenshot below:

I would like to be able to add the private messages on my Ultimate Member profile as well.

@ChrisR were you ever able to get anywhere with this?

@elvina ok but will this show a user if they have any new messages? And it doesn't really add it to the Ultimate Member profile, it just takes the user to the wpforo profile, right?

yes, since the wpForo 1.7.1 the private Message notifications are integrated with the forum notification system. So you can activate the "wpForo User Profile & Notifications" widget in the Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Available Widgets section, just drag it to a sidebar or click on it. The wpForo has an option for this. You just need to enable it.

The option is located in the Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features admin page, find the "Replace Forum Profile with Ultimate Member Profile" and enable it.
