Hello,

I just purchased the add-ons for both the file attachments (which is fine) but cannot figure out how to embed videos, is there a button to initiate this? Where would I find this?

Thank you in advance for your time.  Regards, Ed Sanders

I don't get it, I thought that Ed asked a perfectly legit question, and in response you sent Ed off to a page, telling him that he will find the info he is searching for there.

When Ed follows your link he discovers that page doesn't tell him anything, except that your embed program, that he bought from you, doesn't have any features that would assist him or his forum members, in embedding photos, videos, music or anything else into his forum post, that they couldn't do with just plain old fashion code entries themselves, which is what you are telling everyone that bought your embed to do anyways.

Adding insult to injury, you not only sent Ed to a page that tells him even less about how your add on is going to benefit him than the page you sent him from and that page offered nothing of any value either.

Am I missing something here, is this supposed to be funny? I mean was this a made up scripted in house joke you and some character you made up "Ed" put together? because I can't for the life of me I can't figure out what Ed was thanking you for.

It sure wasn't for giving him any helpful information whatsoever. You can condense the whole exchange of words between you and Ed, to this; "thanks for selling me on your embed add on, I realize now that I was just confused by your product presentation, and was of the mind that it actually provided myself or my members a means of sharing media content in our post, while using the WPMOFO forum plugin. It clearly does not, an d worse yet it doesn't do anything at all that I can't do without it installed on my server or in my forum/s.  I frankly can't see where it has any benefit to me at all or to anyone else either.

I was genuinely hopeful that it would, and was seriously contemplating buying a couple of your other add on packages, had this one worked even remotely like it was supposed to. Your support is a joke, a person asks you how to use it and you post some pictures of some post that people have pictures or videos embedded in and that's it?

I was doing that without your program installed using the {;} icon and entering in the media embed code, which was there before I bought and installed this add on. In what few words you do offer in the way of support you seem to say that buyers should do what I just described in order to add media to their post. I don't see where your embed add on helps anyone in that process.

Maybe you could enlighten us all, who have purchased this add on, and tell us exactly what it is that we have acquired. I mean specifically, what it does, and how it does it, and what it allows us to do that we couldn't already do without it?

I can't help but wonder how many others have purchased this add on after reading your presentation on what it will do and then after installing it, left them scratching their heads and wondering what they did wrong, why it provides them with no visible benefit, and then they eventually find their way here for some support as instructed by the WPMOFO support forum who doesn't support your add on.

When they get there we find a hand full of pictures with photos and videos embedded in them, not a bit of text instruction to be found anywhere, and a thank you reply from Tom. who apparently was the only one to ever replied to the post and doesn't ask one question about how it works or what it does, or how to use it. REALLY ? only Tom?

First off all I see in the photos are embedded youtube videos or photos, and you could add those to your post without your add on using the same method your photos suggest, copy the link, click on the {;} icon, paste the code in there and your done. That icon doesn't go away when the buyer deactivates the embed plugin, so what exactly does this add on do? how exactly does it benefit anyone in my forum trying to post pictures and or videos using the method that is there already.

Where are the post from all the other folks that bought this add on, and discovered the same thing that Ed, Tom and I did, which is that it provides no visible benefit to our forum members whatsoever. It doesn't make anything simpler, it doesn't provide our users with any tools that will simplify the task, so I have to ask myself why I bought it or why I need it?

I was contemplating purchasing a couple of your other products but based on this experience, I'm seriously contemplating deactivating the WPMOFO addon and just going back to what works best and is loaded with add on plugins that actually do simplify things for my forum users.

I am not another satisfied customer, but I guess you could tell that already.

Hi Scott,

We're really sorry that you feel that way and thank you for detailed explanation. However please note the support theme has title "Support Team" under avatar and gVectors Team logo as an avatar. The answer you're talking about was posted by contributor.

We're currently working on Addons' documentation. The PM is already done. Embeds and Advanced Attachments are under constriction here: http://wpforo.com/docs/root/addons/

We'll add [Documentation] button (like it's on PM) on product page once it's ready. All other plugins are well explained and will be more carefully documented in wpForo Addons documentation.

wpForo Embeds is a simple URL to Content replacer. It has dozens of embedding options and settings in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Addons > Embeds admin page. You just need to put share URL in content. There is no other tools and extra steps. You do a simple share like on other discussion boards.
