The idea is to create a gallery and showcase all the recent attachments in the forums. We will change the images manually every few weeks. But when I try to create a gallery, I am unable to see the images uploaded as attachments in the forums.

Please leave some screenshot, how and where are you trying to create it? Do you attach the images to a forum post?
Here are the images from the Advanced Attachments in Media Library.
When I create a page and a gallery in Wordpress,
I don't see the images from the Forum Advanced Attachments.
The intent is to show case all the images uploaded by the users on wpForo Forums posts.
Hope this makes my requirement a little more clearer.

the addon attachments are in a separate library, they cannot be used in WordPress gallery. wpForo attachments are not stored in WordPress media library.
