Hi, when a friend comments on a post, I cannot see this activity on my activity stream? But I can see when a friend upvotes a comment.

If the "Allow activity stream commenting on posts and comments" BuddyPress option is enabled and it doesn't work, then you'll need to contact the BuddyPress plugin support with this question.
The "Allow activity stream commenting on posts and comments" BuddyPress option is located in the Dashboard > Settings > BuddyPress > Options admin page.
