Hi there!

I have an issue... when i try to upload an mov file from an iphone or computer ( i didnt check with ipad, but with 2 different iphones) everything is ok but the embedding part. I get a link with the long name of the recording instead of a video player. All the other files mp4 one;s are getting embedded well.

Thank you for youre future answers

Hi Kpkna,

Please note, that wpDiscuz Media Uploader addon uses HTML5 Audio and Video players. It's already mentioned in the product short and full description. The HTML5 player doesn't support MOV video format, it only supports MP4, WebM and Ogg. Thus the MOV file will be displayed as a simple link. Here is all information about HTML5 player:

Thank you for your answer Tom. I saw it a little bit later, after I wrote the above comment.

I found a solution, but i dont know how to implement it. So, if I rename the mov file to avi or mp4, without convert it, and upload it to the server as comment every thing is ok. it will be treat as mp4 and it's get embeded as mp4.

Do you know how rename only the mov files on the fly?

Thank you for you answer Tom!

I manage to change the mime type from video/quickyime to video/mp4 for all mov files my buddypress members will upload. Please let me know if you need the script for future updates of your plugin.

Kind regards,

Costin
