With a website that I'm working on, I keep getting this error when scrolling up/down on the homepage. This only happens on the homepage. Here is a link to a picture of the full error message from chrome console. error image. Here is also a link to my website.

I want to say that it wasn't doing this when I first installed the plugin. I have tried disabling each other plugin that I have individually but it hasn't seemed to fix the issue. My other plugins include: Advanced Excerpt, Anti-Spam by CleanTalk, Cresta Social Share counter, EWWW Image Optimizer, Favorites, Login with Ajax, Nextscripts, Simple custom css, TinyMCE Spellcheck, and W3total cache.

I'm using Wordpress version 4.5.2. Everything is updated.

I'd appreciate any help!

Hi continuumc,

Please go to Dashboard > Pages and find the Homepage. Make sure it's the same one which used for website home. Click on edit and find comment settings. It may be hidden by default. You should open Screen Settings bar at top of this page and enable Discussions Metabox. Then disable comments for home page and save page. This will stop loading all wpDiscuz components on Home page and you'll not get such errors.

Thank you. That does seem to work on my static pages. However, my homepage isn't a static page. It's set to show my recent blog posts. I don't have a page in all pages to edit for the home.

I'm sorry but we have no clue for this issue, this is a site specific theme conflict, this is not wpDiscuz core issue. This problem can be checked and fixed if we got Dashboard access. If you're ready to provide this admin login data, please send to support[at]gvectors.com email address. We'll try to help you.

Thank you!

Had the same issue, found a solution :

My theme did not have any kind of homepage, so I used to select the "Your latest posts" options in the "Reading settings", and I got this specific error too.

To solve this, I created a blank page called "Home" with discussion options not activated.

Then, in the "Reading Settings", I selected "a static page" for "Front page displays", in the "Post pages" option, I selected the page I just created ("Home"). Done.

My frontpage still displays latest blog posts, the error is gone because discussion is not activated, thus not loading the WPDiscuz stuff.

Then
