Hi guys,

thanks for the great plugin. One problem: I still receive spam comments although Google ReCaptcha is installed. I cannot post myself without clicking ReCaptcha, but somehow the bots get through.

What are the correct settings for it to work? I can't find a proper description anywhere.

I have set comments to display on posts, pages, attachments and a lightbox from another plugin under → Forms – (although comments are only active on posts) as described in another forum post.

"Allow guests to comment" is set to "yes" as I don't want people to sign up. In Wordpress settings "Users have to leave name and email" is ticked.

What else is missing?

Please navigate in Dashboard to Comments > Forms admin page. Edit the default form, and check/enable this form for all post types, even for attachments. It seems some post types' comment system is not wpDiscuz and they allow spam comments.

Did that, but still spam comments come through. I'm using the Zero Spam plugin in which effectively stops the spam. But actually ReCaptcha should to the trick. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Maybe those are Trackback and Pingbacks? Are you sure those are simple comments. And what is the post these comments are being posted?

No, it's definitely comments being posted to various articles. When I switch off ZeroSpam I get comment spam within minutes. Example here:  https://www.allesbeste.de/test/die-beste-elektrische-babyschaukel/#comment-2184
