Finally, you can use the new Google No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA with wpDiscuz. This version of reCAPTCHA came as a result of quite obvious realization that bots got advanced enough to read CAPTCHA images better than most humans. So instead of making it harder for humans, there has to be a way to make this check easy for you, yet somewhat effective for keeping bots away. So and this is the best way, your commenters will be happy to pass the CAPTCHA with only one click on reCAPTCHA checkbox. This addon will increase your website comments, it’ll protect those from spam and abuse while letting real people pass through with ease.
Installation and Configuration
- This addon installs like any other plugin for WordPress.
Access to wpDiscuz – Google reCAPTCHA is provided immediately after you’ve paid for your order. Upon completing registration/checkout, you may log in at gVectors.com. We will also send you an email after registration/checkout, with a link to the login page. Then download the installation package.
- Unzip, and then upload the /wpdiscuz-recaptcha/ folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory using an FTP application like FileZilla; or any other FTP program is fine also. Make sure you have not double /wpdiscuz-recaptcha/wpdiscuz-recaptcha/ directories nested inside each other, please correct this before you continue.
- In WordPress, go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins, and then activate the wpDiscuz – Google reCAPTCHA addon.
Once the plugin is active, go to WordPress Dashboard > Comments > wpDiscuz Settings > Addons Tab > Google reCAPTCHA subTab to begin configuration.
- It’ll ask you to activate with license key you got via email or in your account page, just insert the key and activate it.
- Then please register you domain with Google to obtain the Site Key and Secret Key. Then insert those keys in according fields .
- Choose the language and style and click on [Save Changes] button.
That’s it. Just enjoy easy commenting with highest spam protection.

regarding the reCaptcha addon there are some irritations on your website. I hold once: In the WPDiscuz plugin is the Google reCAPTCHA version 2 integrated. The wpDiscuz reCAPTCHA addon is supposed to include version 3, it says here: https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-7/plugin-settings/google-recaptcha/. A little further down, however, only version 2 is mentioned: And it explicitly states to create and enter the API key for version 2, and not the API key for version 3. And also on your page of the wpDiscuz reCAPTCHA addon https://gvectors.com/product/wpdiscuz-recaptcha/ it only talks about version 2. But version 2 is integrated in the WPDiscuz plugin, as already mentioned. So much for the contradictory statements that cause irritation. Perhaps you can help clarify in advance of a purchase?!

Does the reCAPTCHA add-on also support deferring the reCAPTCHA javascript so as not to be render-blocking (and thus impact pagespeed score)?

We’re really sorry, but the reCAPTCHA add-on doesn’t support deferring. However, it doesn’t impact the page speed score anyway.

Thanks Astghik. Is that behavior the same as the free reCAPTCHA v2 that is built-in to WPDiscuz? I ask because with reCAPTCHA v2, pagespeed is significantly impacted due to the recaptcha__en.js being “unused”, i.e. because it is “below the fold” content that is not lazy loaded. I’m just curious whether or not this reCAPTCHA v3 add-on may potentially run into the same issue.

As we’ve already mentioned both ReCaptcha v2 and v3 don’t support deferring. The difference between v2 and v3 is that in the case of the v3 is being displayed once. However, we’re not sure how this affects the page loading on your website.
Does wp-DISCUZ reCAPTCHA provide invisible security for non-wp-DISCUZ forms on your site?

We’re really sorry, but all wpDiscuz addons are designed for the wpDiscuz plugin. There is no way to use theme separately. This addon protects only your website comments from spam and abuse while letting real people pass through with ease.

The wpDiscuz 7 release was yesterday, so we’ve not managed to update the reCAPTCHA addon information yet.
The answer is simple. wpDiscuz 7 comes with the version 2 “I’m not a Robot” reCAPTCHA checkbox. But the addon brings you the v3 Invisible reCAPTCHA. Please read the documentation here: https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-7/plugin-settings/google-recaptcha/

After activation, is it bound to the domain or can I remove it later and activate it on another? I am using a different domain for testing purposes right now and would like to know if switching would be easy.

This is only designed for wpDiscuz, wpDiscuz comment form is AJAX powered and dynamic so the simple reCAPTCHA plugins have no chance to work with, this is the reason of separate addon development.
