I've just added and activated the user custom fields and keep getting 'something went wrong with user profile data' every time I try to save and no changes are retained.

UPDATE: When plugin is disabled I have no issues saving an update to profile

Please make sure you use wpForo 1.4.1 version. Make sure you don't have wpForo template files copied in WordPress active theme. Then navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page and click on [Delete Member Cache] button. And test it again.

Hi, Tom have you made progress yet?, I think I might be having a similar issue,except mine confirms update is saved but still doesnt appear.

Having the same issue. Just downloaded, installed, and cannot change fields. It lets me save, but changes do not show (even after clearing cache).

All is fixed, please update wpForo to 1.4.2 version then update wpForo User Custom Fields addon to 1.0.1 version. Then delete all cache, navigate to Field settings tab and update options.
