Hi,

I just bought the custom field plugin. I use it to allow visitors to choose their usergroup when register.

I made like it is written here and that works.

http://prntscr.com/qlfgsd

But now, I would like that members, once they are registered, are able to change their usergroup.

I put the custom field in the account tab as you can see on this screenshot  http://prntscr.com/qlfhwc

but it doen's appear on account as you can see here :  http://prntscr.com/qlfii7

The screenshots are made on admin account but it is the same with every usergroup.

How to do that please ?

Hi @sylvain-laude,

I'm really sorry but this is designed to work in this way.

The usergroups can be chosen only in the register time. You can't change it when you are a registered user.
Also, please note the usergroups on the account page visible only for the admin.

Hi @elvina

Thank you for your reply.

As it is not designed to work in that way, I tried an other way with secondary usergroups :

http://prntscr.com/qlrqd5

As you can see on screen shot, my member is not able to edit user field :/

But I allow permission to everybody :

http://prntscr.com/qlrrzb

Did i forgot something ?

Regards.

@sylvain-laude,

As far as in the past, we have a problem with the security, we don't allow regular users to change the usergroups from the account page.
As I already mention the usergroups on the account page can be changed only by high-level users.
This is the wpForo issue, and it will be fixed in the next wpForo version update.

It is secondary group. It's supposed to work as the option is shown here :

http://prntscr.com/qlrrzb

@sylvain-laude

yes, you are right. But we've had a problem with the security and we've removed the feature.
It will be fixed in the next version update.

I bought the featured add-on especially for that...

Actually, I'm looking to categorize members.

I could have all my members in member usergroup.

Then, create a custom field with checkbox with different label (what i have currently in secondary usergroup like : Accueilli, Accueillant etc...)

But I need that this information, I mean the label the member checked, appears here :

http://prntscr.com/qltek7

And would be the best if I can make it appear here too : http://prntscr.com/qltgbw

If I can do that, my problem would be solved and that plugin would stay useful  for my use actually.

What do you think about that ? Do you have an idea ?
