I work with a small independent senior college. Teachers need a spot where they can put their syllabus, assignments etc. As it is, we upload them into pages in WP. I've recently installed WPForo, and it looks like a forum with custom fields could be used by the teachers (with appropriate permissions) to create class topics. Has anyone done this? Is there any sample forum using topic custom fields that I could look at? Or give it a try before buying it?

The addon allows you to create different types of fields like Text, Textarea, WYSIWYG, Phone, Number, URL, HTML, File, Date, Drop-down, Radio, Checkbox.
Here we've created some additional fields so you can test and see how it works

Using the topic form builder you can manage the form structure with rows and columns. Then drag and drop form fields to any place you want.
BTW: All custom fields can be added in forum search form, so you can search/filter topics by custom fields.

SO I had registered as briegull in the WPForo discussions (blue). I also registered with same name and pw in the Gvectors forum (green). The reply from you this morning said that I should go to the try out forum (black). That one is not happy with my registration and I can't get to the try out/demo forum to try it all out. Help!!
