Problems with Direct Messaging Add On

Hi, I installed most of the add ons for wp-foro. I am having an issue with wpForo Private Messages. After installing and activating with license when I go to test and direct message a user, I click on the user name, click message, click the pencil icon to write a message, and then the "Working" icon in the top right just sticks and runs forever. The direct messaging does not work.

I have  updated my php version on the server and have updated the server execution time, max time limits, max uploads size, etc to the maximum. 

Happy to provide creds to the admin account of the site, if necessary.
