Hi,

Apologies if this has been covered before but is there documentation for the cross posting addon that explains each of the settings?  I have searched around but haven't found it anywhere.  Now that I've asked it will probably be somewhere really obvious!!

I've activated the plugin and synchronised the posts that I want to a topic.  The new topics were created in the forum and only the feature image shows.  But, if I edit the topics post all of the text that makes up the blogpage is included.  I'm using WPBakery as a page editor so there are a lot of their own attributes included in [ ].  Could this be why the rest of the text and images aren't showing?

Below is an example of the start of a posts text where only the feature image shows:

[vc_section][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image source="featured_image" img_size="large"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]Route: AV8 Cafe to Diddly Squat Farm Shop.

Location: England; Gloucestershire to Oxfordshire.

Distance: 35miles.

If it is the case that the WPBakery attributes are breaking the plugin, is there a way to manually create/edit the opening post and not have that sync with the blog page but then have the plugin only sync the comments?

Hi @stuart-mccluskey,

Go to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features Tab and Enable

  • Enable WordPress Shortcodes in Post Content option.

Ha, thank you.

That setting makes loads more sense now.  I actually disabled it during setup wondering why you would let users apply shortcodes to posts... Thank you!! 🤣

One thing that i have just noticed after applying this; If you are using WP Foro integrated with Peepso then the activity stream in Peepso does not know how to handle the shortcodes and so you see the raw text on your stream when the pages are generated.
