I've seen a couple of references to wp-SpamShield in this forum but no confirmation that it works with wpDiscuz. Any idea?

Hi @philraymond,

I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with the wp-SpamShield plugin we haven't tested it yet. You should check and make sure they work fine together. 

Another good option is the WordPress Akismet plugin. wpDiscuz works fine with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/akismet/
