Hi,

Some of the comments posted by visitors are incorrectly attributed on the frontend to my (admin) username.

I’m guessing this might be because I had to edit some of them.

The backend (admin) shows the correct author names, but I can find no way to make them display correctly on the frontend.

Following instructions given when I asked this question at https://wordpress.org/support/ I deactivated and deleted the previous version and overwrote it with the Beta version.

When I first looked at the comments page, all the correct authors were showing, but of course the style was messed up.

I then carried out the 3 step setup process from Admin and regenerated data etc.

The display of comments is fine now, but unfortunately it’s showing the admin author again, in place of the commenting authors.

I was asked to pursue the issue here. Thanks.

Hi,

I emailed the requested details on the 20th March, but did not receive a response.

I'm afraid the problem persists with Version: 7.0.0. I'd be grateful for any help.

Cheers.

@agentx,

The developers checked your website and don't find such an issue, the author's name, and the emails are the same in frontend and the backend too.

Please leave the exact URL of the issue to allow us to check it.

Also, the Change Author plugin may cause the issue, so please deactivate that plugin and check again.
