Hi

I upgraded to version 4.0 on my staging site, and followed the instructions at

https://gvectors.com/forum/important-information-and-announcements/wpdiscuz-4-custom-template-and-style/#post-2528 in order to tweak the look of comments.

However, it doesn't appear that wpdiscuz is looking at the customisation wpdiscuz.css file that I have placed at /wp-content/themes/(my theme name)/wpdiscuz

Instead it's still looking for styles in /wp-content/plugins/wpdiscuz/assets/css/wpdiscuz.css (in other words, your version of the file) which is odd!

Any idea of what I'm doing wrong?

Are you sure the wpdiscuz.css file is located in a /wpdiscuz/ folder within /wp-content/themes/active-theme/ ? Please check again twice, maybe there is a typo in folder or file name. Also make sure you're in current active theme folder, if the theme is a parent/child theme, put /wpdiscuz/ folder with wpdiscuz.css file in both themes folders.

Also check all cache plugins you use, delete all cache and purge CDN (if you have), then do CTRL+F5 on front end

Thanks for your reply.

The folder and filenames are correct, so no typos there.  As per your suggestion, I put the wpdiscuz.css file in folders within both the parent and child theme, but that doesn't seem to have helped.  I cleared all caches too. 🙁

It's baffling.  The good news is that I am still able to use the Styling / Custom CSS code option to set the style for the comments page as I would like.

Correction. On further investigation it does seem to be picking up the new CSS file in the wpdiscuz subfolder of the parent theme, albeit not in the child theme.

Cheers!

I'm sorry but I have no clue why it doesn't work on your website. You can install a fresh WordPress, test it and see it works fine. We've made dozens of test for this function and it works on all our test sites too.
