This is really annoying to the users and it looks like they either don't receive any emails (if I turn it off in subscription section of settings) or they will receive a subscription confirmation email each time they post something. Is there a way to allow the user to only get ONE subscription email for their very first comment?

Please navigate to Dashboard > Comments > Settings > Subscription admin page, uncheck "Notify of new replies to this comment" option.

So if I uncheck this box, doesn't it mean users won't be notified when they receive a reply to their comment?

I want the users to receive notifications when there is a new reply to their comments but they don't need to receive a subscription confirmation email each time they post a comment on the website!!

The option mentioned above makes the Subscription checkbox unchecked in comment form by default. If you want to disable subscription confirmation you should disabled these two options:

wpDiscuz Disable Subscription Confirmation

Also please note, it doesn't matter these options are disabled or not, guest must confirm their subscription first time. After the first subscription confirmation it'll not ask for confirmation.

Hi Keerthan,

There is no way to add such feature as this is not safe. Users can subscribe using wrong emails, or using email of other people.

I did as you suggested but people are still getting notification emails each time they post a comment. This is really frustrating my users and they are complaining about this!!

Hi bijansha,

Please ignore previous replies, we misunderstood you.

You need to enable "Disable subscription confirmation for registered users" and "Disable subscription confirmation for guests" options.

I mean seriously, how terrible can your customer support be? It's been weeks since I've started using your plugin and it's destroying my hard earned trust among my users. What a horrible plugin!!!

Hi @bijansha,

I DID AS YOU SAID AND PEOPLE ARE STILL GETTING SUBSCRIPTION EMAILS!!!!!!

Please never use upper case phrases when you're posting here in gVectors Support forum. Next time you'll be banned from support forum. And you're not right. We just tested on your website as a Guest. It only sends first time confirmation email. Once you clicked on Confirm Subscription link in email and confirmed one time you'll never get confirmation email. This is already tested on your site.

It seems when your users or you test it you don't click on confirmation link. This is the only reason. Or maybe your commenters don't understand the working logic and they report wrong things.
