Hi,

Thanks for this plugin, it meets all our needs for comments handling.

Unfortunately we have a big issue: since we've installed it last november we noticed a huge decrease in the number of comments. So we checked and found that the comments notifications does not work! Moreover the functionnality is not clear as other subscriptions systems can be, lots of settings with similar functionnalities but one cannot understand what they do exactly.

Please read "Email Subscription Settings" and "Comment Subscription Settings" sections in wpDiscuz documentation here: http://wpdiscuz.com/wpdiscuz-documentation/

Make sure you use the latest 3.2.7 version.

Also please leave some URL to allow us test guest subscription.

Thanks fot the tip, i'd already read this. Unfortunately it still does not work after a bunch of tests.

Each time someone signs up to be notified from following discussions and someone posts a new comment, the subscribed visitor gets a "Please confirm your subscription" email instead of receiving the notification of the new comment. And nobody gets any answer notification, ever. We've installed wpdiscuz in July, 2015 and we noticed a huge and continuous decrease fo discussions and engagement on our site since that date because of this issue...
We've disabled the plugin yesterday to our great regret because all the other features and addons are so smart, but we cannot afford to risk such a loss of trafic and engagement on our site.

Anyway, I think the subscription functionnality is not clear, and to difficult to understand for visitors, with too much redondant options. Moreover there's no way to handle and manage subscriptions, as an admin or as a visitor (apart from manage them per post/email). You should make it way more simple, with just a checkbox, or just make it compatible with other plugins like 'Subscribe To Comments Reloaded' for instance (which we used before and again now).

Hi Eric,

It seems they don't click on confirm URL in email so they don't get future notification.Or maybe your server IP is in Email Blacklist and all emails go to people spam-boxes.

There is no any complicated things here. You check the checkbox, then you get confirmation email with link, then you click on confirmation link. That's it. This is a very good logic to avoid using other person email. And the confirmation step can be disabled for registered users. Even for guests in next 3.2.8 version.
