I've installed Disqus on a freshly installed Wordpress site. Theme: Paperback from Array Themes (Child Theme installed, no changes made so far). Jetpack activated, Jetpack comments disabled. When the plugin is activated, the comments section does not show up at all. It does show up with the standard theme Twenty Fifteen though.

Comments are enabled for all articles and each article. I have also checked that the string <?php wp_head() ?> is present in the header.php of the theme as suggested here: https://gvectors.com/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/doesnt-work-on-a-lot-of-themes/#post-1092

What possible other reasons could there be for the plugin not playing well with the theme?

Hi Anselm2304,

It does show up with the standard theme Twenty Fifteen though.

All screenshot you see for wpDiscuz have been made on Twenty Fifteen theme. wpDiscuz works well on that theme. I have no clue what's going on with you WordPress. That's something extraordinary. We can check and fined the reason if you send admin login details to support[at]gvectors.com. Also make sure the default comment box exists and all plugins are deactivated when you test wpDiscuz. That may be plugin conflict not theme.
