I want to share with you my test on yellow tab tools and show that it creates warning that fonts are too large.
https://yellowlab.tools/result/fajedvaclv/rule/heavyFonts
They suggest using woff2 or better compression to be not overweight
Maybe you can do something about it. Maybe it's not worth attention
Hi @redpillersi,
This doesn't have any relation to the wpDiscuz plugin. The plugin just uses the Font Awesome library.
This is related to wpdiscuz. This test show links:
wp-content/plugins/wpdiscuz/assets/third-party/font-awesome-5.0.6/webfonts/fa-brands-400.woff
wp-content/plugins/wpdiscuz/assets/third-party/font-awesome-5.0.6/webfonts/fa-solid-900.woff
wp-content/plugins/wpdiscuz/assets/third-party/font-awesome-5.0.6/webfonts/fa-regular-400.woff
Hi @redpillersi,
yes, wpDiscuz just uses the woff as it is supported by many browsers. Many browsers don't support the woff2:
More information you can find here:
https://caniuse.com/#feat=woff
https://caniuse.com/#feat=woff2
Hope other browsers will support woff2 in the near future because they're faster
