Hi

I have wpForo, WpForo embeds & WpForo Private Messages which, two days ago, had updates for the latest versions. I duely updated and since then I cannot see the threads because it looks like something in the footer is corrupted and so only half the page (header and the title of the thread) opens but the thread itself doesn't load. Hard to describe so I will post a link.

https://ukauthors.com/community/discuss-wabd/attention-comments-stream/

The MAIn forum page is fine and so is the sub forums list and subcategories. It is only the threads that don't load.

So the main forum page is fine:

https://ukauthors.com/community/

As are sub-categories:

https://ukauthors.com/community/discuss-wabd/

but trying to read ANY thread and you get this:

https://ukauthors.com/community/discuss-wabd/where-is-everyone/

At the moment I have disabled Embeds but the Private Message addon is active.

thanks for help

Richard

As far as i see all is ok now. You should only use the latest versions of Addons with the latest version of wpForo for current versions. At the moment wpForo 1.4.3 and higher is required for current Addon versions. Also make sure you don't have customized forum template files in Wordpress active theme folder. wpForo 1.4.3 dosn't support old versions template files.

The problem as to do with some tweaks I added using the childtheme way of modifying WpForo files. The files that were being read in my child theme corrupted the new versions of WpForo. I have removed the child theme forum tweaks and it works now. But I've lost the tweaks 🙁

I'm sorry to hear that, this was mentioned in update notes. The 1.4.3 comes with very important changes in core and in template, this time is required to update template files. This is not required with all versions.

Okay, thanks

I think I will try to avoid child theme tweaks so that future updates don't cause issues again.
