Hello,
i have setup my register form in order to have the fields "nickname" and "display name" available during register process.
Unfortunately, when user connect to the site, his profile fields keep the username in each name fields.
He have to change manually.
In the attached screenshot I have renamed "nickname" and "display name" with French translation.

Could you please let us know the version of the addon? Is it the latest one?
We don't find such an issue on our test websites. Probably one of the active plugins caused the issue.
Could you please send us the list of the active plugins?
I have the same problem. The users type they name, and it doesn't appear once the user completes his register process. I did exactly the same than ludovic:
