On default WPFORO attachments (without plugin) it add's to the MEDIA for WP. The attachment plugin does not have that option to add to MEDIA, we need this plugin to add to MEDIA like the default WPFORO forum does.

Can we make this possible please?

Thanks!

Hi Linda,

This is already in our to-do list. We'll add it in future releases for sure. But I'm sorry I have no ETA at the moment.

Thanks, we'll wait for the update before migrating to the new forums as getting images into media is crucial. We run a large forums and people are constantly uploading images. Due to this if we migrated to wpforo now people would upload their images and then the attachment addon will get updated in the future which would leave all uploaded images prior to update not included in the media.

We'll be looking for the update!

Thanks!

Any update or word on this? We're ready and eager to move to new forums but we cannot until this is an option.

Thanks!

WordPress Media Lib is very heavy for forum attachments. It saves lots of data in wp_posts and wp_postmeta table for each file, also it generates many copies of uploaded image with different sizes, which is not needed for forum. We decided to create separate Attachment Management system with admin page. This will keep forum attachments intact and it'll not make WP system heavy.

Currently we work on this and hope to add it by end of this month.
