I enabled the license, uploaded the plugin but somehow the bell is not showing via the shortcode. I tried adding this shortcode in the template, on a page, and on a widget, but it only shows the text of the shortcode.

The settings are set to REST API/AJAX both, but no difference. Furthermore I do not see any settings to enable it or disable the plugin. What could cause this to happen? Also adding it via the menu (custom link) it says that the variable is not valid.

I created a page, but the same happens when putting this macro somewhere else (in a widget, template file etc.).
Could you please record a video showing how you're adding the shortcode? We're unable to reproduce the same issue on our test website.
I can make a video but it''s as simple as that. I add a page, which I fill with the shortcode (no html or markup added). Same with template, I add:
do_shortcode('[wpdiscuz_bell]');
Though nothing is happening. Are there any technical things I can check? Does it require some certain things would could be blocked somewhere maybe? (REST, AJAX, PHP?)
It's enough to add the [wpdiscuz_bell] shortcode to the post or page editor. Please try simply adding the shortcode and let us know whether it works.
Also, please let us know which editor you're using. Are you using the Classic Editor, Elementor, or another page builder?
I use the classic editor, but I added it also in the source code, there''s no styling and Gamipress for example works fine with shortcodes... I have the idea that the plugin is somehow not active somewhere, or technically blocked... I deactivated it, and re-activated it, but still not working...
