I have been using Wpforo and lots of add on for over 5 years now. Great stuff really, it is good software, but there are some issues.
Mainly, I am skeptical with the Private Message add on. This slows down my site massively, and it hasn't been addressed. I have seen other members here with the same issue too, the fact it isnt being resolved concerns me.
Also, the user mentions add on never worked properly for me, so though I have a licence for it, I don't use it. If it worked properly I would, great add on, but it doesn't and again, I don't see this getting fixed.
I would like to use the advanced reaction add on too, but really don't know if it will work properly, and if its worth so. So any way, let me get to my point.
I have 5 add ons than need renewing.
But looking at what is in the update, its all just issues with previous bugs, just fixes to issues, and no real update. I dont feel as if it is even worth updating at this point. There is an add on to Private Messages addon, but from what I have seen, some people have updated to that version and it has caused serious issues with their site. And this hasnt been fixed. Should I update the this new version? Is it worth the money for me to update them all?

I mentioned I would also like to add the advanced reactions, and re add the user mentions, if they're working properly. But this all stats to add up, and as previously mentioned, I only have to update five, all the others need no updates. And the updates that are available are again, all just bug fixes, no real features added.
So, with all that in mind, I ask you all, Admin and members and users of these add ons, should I spend the money to update just the 5? Should I spend the money and renew all licences for all addons, even if they don't need an update, or, do I just leave it as it is and keep my money?? At least right now I know my plugs are working, other than the private messaging add on, they all work fine. So what do i do here?
Tough decision, I would like some feedback on this 🙂

Also.... Premium support. I appreciate the help you guys give us, but waiting for three days for a response is in no way premium IMO

Please note that we categorize topics. The premium support is related to the blocker issues, and we do our best to help in that cases. Other non-urgent support topics may take days to be answered. But there are some topics that may take weeks to be answered because we need to decide lots of things.
Also, please note that the access to this forum could be closed if the license is expired. Because the premium support is only available for customers whose product licenses are valid.

I'm sorry but we cannot provide site specific information for each addon. WordPress is an open CMS and people use lots of plugins, different themes on different hosting services. There is no way to guarantee zero conflict of an addon or plugin for any website. I can only say if you see a few issue reports, it means the addon is really good and will in 99% work for you. Because the addon has been purchased by hundreds of customers and the 1% of problem report is a great result.
