I have just bought the custom user fields add on and it is wonderfully intuitive in many ways...however I can't find the profile page.  The documentation says to go to

You can manage User Profile Page fields in Dashboard > Forums > Member Fields > Profile Page Tab.

But there is no profile page tab that I can find.  There is a tab on the far right that says tab manager and when I click that it shows four options one of which is the profile. But when I try to add the custom fields I have created they don't show up on the profile.  Hmmm  What might I be missing?

Thanks for your help and an excellent plugin.

Hi @tom-golden,

the tab can be found and managed in the Dashboard > Forums > Member Fields > Tab Manager admin page. Please see the screenshot below:

Besides the ability to create custom fields for users, now this addon allows you to create Custom Profile Tabs.

Thanks for your response.  Actually I have used the tab manager and have been able to add the custom fields to the account tab but not the profile tab. And yes, I can make custom tabs. The fields and account tab work as expected but there is no

tab for profile fields as shown in the screen shot and is only listed in the tabs manager and when I add custom fields to the profile in tab manager they fail to show up when clicking on the users profile tab in their account. The users account tab shows them just fine.  The custom search also works as expected.  Only the profiles are failing to show the custom fields.

BTW what is the difference between account and profile?

Thanks

@tom-golden,

First of all, please make sure you're using the latest version of the addon.

Make sure those fields will not be visible until those fields' values are not being filled and saved on the account page. I.e. You'll not see the values on the profile page until those are not filled in the account tab.

More info for:

Member Profile page: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/members/member-profile/

I may also suggest you watch the video in this post: https://gvectors.com/forum/postid/24442/

@astghik  Thank you.  It seems that the account tab is where  you fill out the info for your profile and once filled out it populates the profile page. Correct?  That makes sense and it is now functioning.  Thank goodness!

It would have been helpful to have that in the documentation.  Maybe I missed it?

Appreciate your help with this.

Yes, that's correct.

Sure. We'll take this into consideration.

I also have the same problem like @tom-golden.

Creating a new object form under Forum/Member Fields/Tab Manager would not show all the fields.
It is showing only three fields, but rest of custom fields does not show up under the member Profile page.

I am using using wpForo User Custom Fields plug-in in wpForo 1.9.3.
Is this plug-in still in beta stage?

Also, updating Profile under Tab Manager would not show up under Member/Profile page either.  I get the same "no change" result when modifying Account under Tab Manager, too.  Am I missing some settings that needs to be updated?

@paulchoe,

As I've already mentioned here those fields will not be visible until those fields' values are not being filled and saved on the account page. It works as in the case of profile tabs. I.e. You'll not see the values on the profile page until those are not filled in the account tab.
