Another follow-up. I was able to find that the setting "Role-Usergroup Synchronization" was turned off, so I turned it on, which corrected the synchronization being unavailable:

screenshot usergroups synced

However, after synchronizing, I still have only one member synced despite the below table:

screenshot usergroups synced 2

And I still cannot see the forum when logging in as a member/subscriber/registered user. I greatly appreciate any further help. Thank you.

Another update. I just realized that I logged in with the wrong username/account. For that one "subscriber" that synced as a "registered" user, I can now see the forums so it appears that it has been a syncing issue. Now, is there a way to sync the remaining "subscribers" with the "registered" user role without doing each one manually as I did with the above one? Clicking the synchronize button is not working. Thank you.

@psych,

It'll be synched automatically once all your user groups are synched with one user role. So create two usergroups for Author and Contributor user roles then synchronize them.

Thank you for the reply. Given that I only had a few users, I just assigned them to the customer (pending) user role and then back to the subscriber user role to sync them up with the registered usergroup.
