The hosting company identified the following areas which should be addressed in order to reduce the amount of server resources being utilized:

Excessively uncached requests coming from different pages and admin.ajax:

Besides Ajax traffic, most of the uncached requests seem to stem from the wpdiscuz plugin, using those URLs
