Hello, I’ve just purchased some addons and received the keys you sent me, but I’m unable to activate them. The system shows the following error: Something went wrong: cURL error 28 – Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds.
Hi,
The reason of this problem could be one of the following:
- You have a security plugin that blocks requests from addons to gvectors.com. I recommend disable all security plugins and test it again.
- There may be network routing issues or blacklists affecting only certain IP ranges. Some services (like certain cloud providers) may have their own outbound restrictions. So please connect to your hosting support and make sure gvectors.com is not blocked by them.
- You website could be blocked by our system. however we've done a deep check and didn't found any limitation or data related to your website domain and IP address. Please let us know when you'll check the first two points.
Hello,
Thank you for your suggestions. I want to clarify:
-
I do not have any security plugins installed that could be blocking requests.
-
My hosting is on OVH Cloud, so any network restrictions would come from their infrastructure.
Could you please advise on the next steps to resolve the cURL timeout issue?
Thank you for your support.
Best regards
I contacted OVH and they say:
Dear,
Regarding your request, I can confirm that the service is generally active and accessible via HTTP requests using tools such as cURL,
file_get_contents()
, or wget. Please note that the shared hosting uses a firewall managed by OVHcloud, which cannot be customized. Therefore, if an HTTP request is identified as a threat by the firewall, it may be blocked, and no exception can be made.
Alternatively, the issue could be on the recipient server, which may have blocked incoming connections from OVHcloud hosting.
For example, the outgoing IP of the hosting (51.68.11.195) could be listed in a blacklist, causing the recipient to block these requests as suspicious. In this case, we suggest contacting the recipient of these web requests to verify.
Additionally, we recommend using cURL via a PHP script with a URL, for example:
https://mydomain.com/curl.php
.This approach is allowed and enables the use of the cURL function without domain restrictions.
is there a way to activate the addons please?
hey, please, can you help me? i also paid a lot for them, this is not free support, can you tell me something?
