Hi,
When trying to subscribe to new follow-up comments, it gives the following error "Subscription not successed".
This happens only when using top notify subscription form. Using the "Notify of new replies to this comment" checkbox on comments form works and it displays in database as well.
What could be causing the issue?
I'm sorry but i have no clue, this subscription works fine on all our test websites. I'd recommend to test it using another account, maybe this is a user specific issue.
I tried with different accounts and email addresses, but it's same issue.
How does the subscription form work? Is it possible that some file is blocked and that's why it doesn't work? I can try contacting hosting support about this, but I am not sure what to ask.
Also, I can send you access details for the website if that could help.
Please leave your website address to allow us test it.
Hi Tom,
I sent you a private message with website access details.
Let me know if you get a chance to look at it.
We've already checked your webiste. It has a big problem. The WordPress wp_nonce functions doesn't work on your website, this is something general and used by wpDiscuz too. We have no clue why this WordPress has such problem.
We could take a deep look if we have access to files and database. This is something irregular and the dashboard access is not enough for debugging.
Also I'd recommend to install a fresh WordPress in e.g. /test/ subdirectory and test there. If it doesn't work then this is a Hosting Service issue and you don't need to provide any access, just change the hosting or find alternative to wpDiscuz.
Hi,
I was in contact with hosting and they checked the email settings and wp_nonce functions and everything is in order.
So the issue must be with plugin. The error message doesn't state what went wrong.
If you need FTP or database access details to solve this issue, just let me know and I will send you a private message.
Please send dashboard admin login details and FTP access to support[at]gvectors.com email address to allow us debug this issue.
We've fixed this problem on your website. The change is also included in wpDiscuz core and will be available with next version.
Hi Tom,
have the same problem - any fix in sight?
greetings,
Ritchie
PS: I'd buy the subscription manager add-on, but this probably won't help since the name isn't inserted into the db.
Hi Tom,

As I've already mentioned above the fix has been added in next release a few month ago. Please make sure you use the latest version. if you still have a problem please describe it. The phrase "same problem" says nothing. This can't be exact the same, because this issue was already fixed.
Hi Tom,
thanks for your answer - I'll open a new thread.
