In the WordPress.org page - I believe someone else asked about this and was pointed to the API...
using get_comments() is not hard -- but ideally - is there not already a hook/filter we can use, or an add-on that would render the comments with all the WPDiscuz features?
There are so many nice things about WPDiscuz! Like that the comments are threaded...like the hide replies...like the voting thumbs up/thumbs down etc.
Here are two use cases for why I'd want to aggregate comments from various posts/pages on a single page:
1) "Recent comments" -- a nice way to just see the latest comments, but display them with all the WPDiscuz features ...
2) A nice admin/moderation -- we have some community members we'd like to be able to moderate comments -- the thing is, it is hard for them to know which posts/pages/custom post type etc. have the most recent comments ( without access to the WordPress admin).
Again - not hard to put it together such a page and just giving clicks over to that comment on whatever post/page it was created on...but it would be much more efficient if we could leverage the AJAX ability to reply to comments, like comments not to mention the layout already looks nice 🙂
SO.. any hooks/filters/functions you can point me to where I could leverage WPDiscuz? Or it just wasn't designed to do it?
Thanks for making such a wonderful plugin and having it be free!
