wpDiscuz 5.1.0 version comes with full GDPR support tools and settings, more info in the doc: https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-documentation/gdpr/

When will the new update of the plugin released? As far as we know all sites should be compliant with GDPR from 25th May. 

So, is the update coming by 24th May or after that?

I have a question about GDPR compliance, too.

I am using wpdiscuz on my blog and I've deactivated the Gravatar option, because of GDPR compliance issues. I've also deactivated Gravatar in the Default Wordpress Settings.

But still Ghostery shows, that Gravatar is still active and tracking.
Is this a known issue? What can I do about it? I don't want to quit using wpdiscuz, but I need to stop Gravatar from tracking.

This has no relation with wpDiscuz. The "Enable Gravatar caching" option only caches avatars, it doesn't affect on avatar displaying.

The link really did the trick, Gravatar is deactivated on my blog now. Thank you so much!

Maybe there will be a GDPR solution for using Gravatar in the future, but do you think, there will be an upcoming version of wpDiscuz, where we can add a standard avatar ourselves, without using Gravatar?

I am working on my GDPR compliance. In the post I was reading about the WPDISCUZ plug-in, it says to click on the agreement checkbox in order to add a consent. When I click on the "+" sign to add a field, there is no agreement checkbox field. How can I make my comments plug-in GDPR compliant?

Hello! GDPR comes into force tomorrow and I still cannot create agreement checkbox.
