Description
Polls are created when creating a thread. At the bottom of the Add Topic screen, there is a button [Create Poll] for poll creation. Just click on this button and enter in the number of options you want the poll to have (this can be changed later, but after the first vote you’ll not be able to edit poll data). Poll will be published once you submitted the topic.

Installation and Configuration
- This addon installs like any other plugin for WordPress.
Access to wpForo Polls is provided immediately once you paid for your order. Upon completing registration/checkout, you may log in at gVectors.com. We will also send you an email after registration/checkout, with a link to the login page. Then download the installation package.
- Downloaded addon zip file from gVectors Shop account page
- Navigate to Dashboard > Plugins > Add new and upload addon ZIP file, then activate it.
- Once the plugin is active, you’ll find Create Poll button on Add/Edit Topic sceeen.
- Navigate to WordPress Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Addons > Polls Tab to configure some base settings.
- It’ll ask you to activate with license key you got via email or in your account page, just insert the key and activate it.
If for some reason you cannot install this plugin using WordPress plugin upload system please do that with this alternative way. Unzip, and then upload the /wpforo-polls/ folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory using an FTP application like FileZilla; or any other FTP program is fine also. Make sure you have not double /wpforo-polls/wpforo-polls/ directories nested inside each other, please correct this before you continue. Then in WordPress, go to WordPress Dashboard > Plugins, and then activate the wpForo Polls addon.

Hello, is there a way to have a page with all the polls?
Hello, I want to understand this to see if the poll addon will work for us. 1. A member clicks on a Topic Creation button. 2. We use the Topic Custom Fields addon to add our custom fields to the form and I’m guessing we can save it as a template that is always used each time someone wants to create a new topic? 3. Then, other users will need to vote on this new topic, can there be a default poll inside the custom topic form that has just a yes or no answer that the member cannot change?
can I see how users voted? Can I control who sees how users voted?
Sorry, but you can only view overall statistical data on how many votes each poll option has received. You do not have the ability to access more detailed information about which user voted and which poll option they selected.

Sorry for the late response, the addon has option called: “Must Vote to See poll Results” which can be enabled/disabled, by your choice.
Hi, could I as Admin, to add this funcitonality to a particular forum, already created (Introductions, Presentations) so that, from now on, anytime any new user introduce himselve, will find automatically a poll asking where they found about us in the topic THEY will create in order to introduce themselves?

Yes, you can edit a topic and create a new poll. Polls are created with topics they are attached to topics not to forums. So you can create polls in the topic editor and show it on the top of the topic. If the topic already exists, just edit the topic first post and find the [Create Poll] button under the content field:

Category already exist (ABOUT THIS FORUM) and it has 3 forums on it (Norms, Sugerences and Introductions)

In said forum a new subscribed member WILL ALWAYS OPEN A NEW TOPIC (its very own topic) introducing him/her self
So, despite the forum will always be same, any new member will open a new topic within everytime
Its at this time, when the member WILL OPEN THE NEW TOPIC that I will like the poll to be there asking him where he found us. Is this possible?

It’s a predetermined FORO (“Introcutions”) where each new arrival -not me as admin- will open a “New Topic” themselves in order to introduce themselves
With this in mind, I suppose that will be not way to have things prepared in advance so that when any1 starts a “new topic” on this very foro, a pre-prepared “poll” will show in said 1st topic automatically so that the new arrival can reply to “how they found out the Website Forum, correct?

Also, please note, that polls cannot be edited and the poll answers cannot be changed if the poll has been already voted one or more times. So the voted polls are not changeable and editable. In other words, first vote locks the poll to make it fair and trustable. It’s not correct to edit ongoing polls, this is out of all rules.

Is it possible to translate active buttons into different languages? Is it possible to make a translation within the addon plugin? Yes you can translate all phrases of wpForo Polls addon in Dashboard > Forums > Phrases admin page. Just select the phrase package (wpForo Polls), edit the phrase and insert the translated version. Here is the screenshot:

I have a marketplace and I’m using the WPForo plugin on it. I want to buy the Forum Polls to include this polling function. However, I am in doubt if this latest version of the extension is compatible with the Dokan plugin that I use for my marktplace. I already had a problem with the previous version of the Polls 1.8.4 extension, which blocked uploading images in the Dokan Plugin.
I would like to know if it is possible to do a *pre-test before the purchase* or if I buy and do not work do you make a *refund* if we cannot use it?

I thought it was the plugin that controls registrations (s2member) so I was working with them to fix the issue. I put a couple hours into troubleshooting with them. Of course, that didn’t go anywhere.
Then I had someone tell me they couldn’t reset their password. I tried that functionality and confirmed it didn’t work. I noticed that the URL for where it was redirecting had a post ID in it, so I looked in the database and found it was the ID for my forum. I did some more troubleshooting and discovered it was wpForo causing the issue.

In my case, the addon should be used for reviewing clinics for medical students.
For example: How was the supervision (Good, average, bad or non-existing) – and another: How was the work load (Extreme, hard, average, low).
Would this demand several posts og just one?
You can only create one poll for a one topic.
In your cease you can create a topic with question “How was the supervision?”
And with answers: “good”, “average”, “bad” or “non-existing”
All users can vote in this topic and leave a feedback as reply.
