To whom it may concern:

I used to use Ultimate Member - recently transitioned off, and am using wpForo and custom fields exclusively.  Love it!  But...

I have a file upload field, that the user should not see / use UNLESS they are marked as "certified" by the administrator.

Situation: I have a custom checkbox field: Certified?  Yes / No (checked is Yes) - this is not editable by the user themselves (which is fine) and is set by administrative action.

I have a 2nd field: "Certificate File" (file upload), which IS editable by the user.

Instead, I'd like the field to have the following:

a) either be NOT editable unless the CheckBox field is set to YES

(the ability to setup conditional view / edit rules based on other field settings) (this is something Ultimate Member does very well, but I think wpForo advanced custom fields could do this too)  (again, to replace UM completely).

Thanks!

Hi @dlinstedt,

We're really sorry but there is no way to do it. This requires large changes in both wpForo and wpForo Custom Fields plugins core.

Hi Team,

Thank you for considering the possibility.  May I suggest then that perhaps, it be considered in the future (when you are thinking of a major core upgrade)?

Thanks,

Dan
