With my main admin account, with it set to "Admin" usergroup level in wpForo, I can't seem to change and then save another member's fields in their profile.

I can change the information in the field, but when I hit save at the bottom, it just reverts back to what it was before.

If I change that field's "Who can edit?" edit level to include "Moderator" (from just Admin only before), and then I change my main admin user account to "Moderator" (from "admin"), then I AM able to save the field information.

I'm not sure why I can save information when my "wpForo Usergroup" level as a moderator, but not when it's set as an admin.

Is this a known bug?

The admin Usergroup is not editable yet. please wait for the next version. This issue is already fixed in next 1.4.6 version. Never set WP administrators as forum Moderator. Admnistrators should have admin usergroup.

Okay. That would make sense since I can't seem to change the Admin usergroup from red color to another. But, with my question and problem above, I'm not trying to "edit" the usergroup, I'm trying to edit a standard user's fields with an Admin account. But, I assume you also mean that has been fixed as well for the 1.4.6 version. Right?

And I agree about the Admin wpForo setting. I just temporarily set it to "moderator" for a few minutes, just to test and see if a moderator could change a user's profile settings fields since an Admin currently can't change a user's fields. Then I changed it back to Admin.

Thanks Tom!

Admin can edit other user fields. there is no any bug with this and it works fine. It seems you're not admin or something is broken on your website. If you're Wordpress and wpForo admin you should have all permissions to edit user fields. If you're using wpForo Users Custom Fields addon you should wait for the next update, this maybe an addon issue. Try to deactivate addon and test it.

My main admin account is definitely set so Admin in wpForo. It's not that.

I had tested deactivating wpForo plugin and reactivating, and that didn't fix the issue.

I tried clearing all the wpForo caches, and that didn't fix the issue.

But I had never thought of deactivating the "Users Custom Fields" addon, and then testing to edit a standard (non custom field) or another member's profile page (not my own). I just tried that, and sure enough, my main admin account CAN edit the standard "Signature" field. Interesting.

Then I activated "Users Custom Fields" plugin again, and tried to modify the same Signature field again (again not my own account, another member's), and it did NOT allow me to change it. So, you're right. The Add-On is the issue.

Is it possible the developers aren't aware of this specific issue with the Addon yet? Can you let them know or do I need to post this somewhere?

(BTW, forgot to include before that I am using wpForo Forums v 1.4.5 and wpForo User Custom Fields vs 1.0.6)
