ok. so I mistakenly read rutube as rumble and thought the addon is compatible with this platform.

however, I'd like to see the platform be supported, it's easy to do so since they already provide embedded option for every video. It's kinda strange to see bitchute on the list but not rumble.

@jimmy-young,

I'm sorry, but Rumble.com cannot be integrated in wpForo Embed Addon.
Rumble.com video URL that is in the Browser Address Bar doesn't contain the Video URL, which is the Video ID.
The needed URL which has the Video ID in it and can be used to Embed the Video in wpForo is in the Embed Field: Embed IFRAME URL.

@kylew

actually rumble does provide iframe option, you dont even have to find the id you can just get it.
On the UI you can get it by doing the following:

I can successfully embed it manually by going to the source code tab.

@jimmy-young,

Yes, we know that, there are 3 options there and if you copy and paste Iframe from the Embeddable Player field, the video would be embedded in the post.

The problem is that users just need to use the Address bar URL, for YouTube, Vimeo, and others which Embeds Addon supports, but in Rumbles Case users have to Copy the URL from Embed Iframe URL field.

And in this case we have a question, if the users have to copy the URL from Embed Iframe URL field, To embed the Post, what the difference to Copy the Iframe from Embeddable Player field?

@kylew it can save the uers some time and hassle.
I haven't looked too much into the code but it seems that there's a snipt of js code that can be run to get the video id for a given url.
It requires a bit of extra work to get the video id ofc, but if I were you I'd go communicate with rumble to see if they can provide a simple fix.
It does seem possible to run that js code snippt throught a get request and then generate the embedded url

@jimmy-young,

The only working way is to add a function that would embed the Embed Iframe URL, with that, users can copy Embed Iframe URL, and paste it in wpForo post, and get the Embedded content.

This function would be available in the new Update.
