Hello.

Are there any plans to resize the images to a max x,y during the uploads?

PHP image libs are there in every hosting plan, it shouldn't be that hard.

Thank you

@costas-zividis,

First of all, we apologize for the late response.

We don't follow you well. wpForo Advanced Attachments has already used libs. It generates thumbnail sizes using those.

You can change the "Thumbnail Max Width" and "Thumbnail Max Height" options' value.Tare located in the Dashboard > Settings > Addons > Attachments admin page.

Sure, we want to prevent users from uploading BIG size of photos (not in mb but in X Y).

So if a user does that, the max could be configurable.

@costas-zividis,

Currently, the addon has a "Maximum File Size" option that allows you to restrict the bid size images. Also, you can restrict files by the File Type. Only those two restrictions are available.

We've planed to add the option that will restrict the image uploading by resolution as well in future updates.

PHP image libs are there in every hosting plan, it shouldn't be that hard.

Also, here should be said that those libs almost always have problems with manipulations of images with the big resolutions.

Well since i heavily use Wordpress, IMAGIK (or even GD) lib never showed any issues with gallery plugins. The only issue is some delay during processing multiple images (batch).

Still nice to know you have something like that in mind, from what i seached here others ask for it also.
