Hey guys,

I recently checked the page speed of my posts and noticed that wpDiscuz and the premium addons are a huge drain on the speed results. For mobile, I lose around 20 points with Google page speed insights.

I thought that all the functionalilty might slow the site down a bit, but I did not think that this was quite sooo much.

Is there anything I can do about that apart from deactivating plugins again?

I used Hummingbird Pro to defer all scripts and css to the footer, which seems to help a bit. But I also noticed that while Hummingbird is active, the frontend edit and moderation of posts takes way longer than it does when Hummingbird is not activated. For example, when clicking on delete posts, it takes 5-10 seconds for the post to actually vanish. I struggle to understand how Hummingbird might interfere here.

Hope you can help me with those issues.

Johannes

Hi @johannes,

There are a lot of changes made in the new version of the wpDiscuz plugin regarding the performance. Please wait for the next update (No ETA). Besides, you'll be able to use optimize plugins with the new version of the plugin. So, you'll get a high score and don't face any conflict.
