Adding Alt Text to Image Uploads

Hi, it's pretty critical that we implement a way to add alt texts to image uploads for WPDiscuz. You can add alt texts to the media files, but this doesn't add them to the image that's already in the comments. I also see that the embedded thumbnail images automatically use the file name as the alt text. And that the lightbox images don't have any at all. This isn't going to cut it.

Blood sucking leach lawyers are now targeting smaller websites for easy settlements over the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). And having good alt text is critical to ward off these attacks and mount a defense if they do happen. It also makes Google happy.

It would be nice if there was an included field (requested but not required on the part of the user) for users to input their own image descriptions. But there definitely needs to be a way for us website owners to edit or add them.

Also, is this a feature in WPForo? I have been thinking about adding on a forum but will look elsewhere if this is not a consideration.
