Why, just why? Why do I have to keep fighting this plugin on a monthly basis.
https://gardenerspath.com/how-to/beginners/propagate-amaryllis-seed/

No images.

So I updated WP Rocket several weeks ago from 3.8.8 to 3.9.3. Destroyed some functionality in wpDiscuz and a table plugin. So I reverted back to 3.8.8. For some reason I had back off some of the settings that I had previously used....such as Combine Java Script files (with every single one of WPDiscus JS files excluded...in fact you guys use the list I put together when replying to support problems). Combine CSS is still in use...again with everyone of WPDiscuz's CSS excluded (and they same list that I put together and posted on here or the WPDiscuz forum that your support references).

WP Discuz worked after that...I personally uploaded images with desktop Chrome, and iPhone Safari and Chrome. I haven't updated anything since then.

I now discover that the image functionality has been broken for about a week.

1) What can I do to fix the broken images? Force Regenerate Thumbnails?

2) Why don't you guys test this stuff with the more popular cache plugins and services and make the plugins work as best they can with cacheing and also give us a definitive recipe to use with the various popular caches? (WpRocket, Lightspeed, etc). Ignoring cache and site speed simply won't cut it in today's environment.

I would find another solution but there's nothing that has the same capabilities. I am about at the point where I'm just going to hire a premium Dev to code me up something that actually works without continually fighting it.

@mikequinn,

We always test our product before releasing them. All issues you have are only related to the plugins you're currently using. This either cache conflict or plugin conflict.

However, I don't see any problem on your website. Here is the screenshot and all images are there. So please try to explain the issue with some screenshots.

@tomson weird. I don't see them on my end with Chrome logged in, not logged in, caches cleared, incognito windows, clearing browser caches, etc.

And users have been reporting uploading issues, although it seemed to work ok when I tested it.

Note, I also deactivated all WPDiscuz, clearing the cache, reactivating clearing the cache..no luck (using incognito browser). I also tried turning off WP Rocket completely, no luck.

@mikequinn,

All works fine for us and for all users we ask to test.

In any case please go to Dashboard > wpDisucz > General Settings and click the [Purge comments and users caches] button.

This is what I see

This is what I see on my end. I've asked my staff members to tell me what they are viewing as well; and they are on two other separate continents/islands. Maybe there's some sort of CDN issue? We run through Sucuri (with minimal cacheing since we use WP Rocket) which also includes CDN servers.

@mikequinn,

Cache plugins always make tons of problems to administrators and to plugin developers. They even cache your browser and device, so you have 10 levels of cache, started from server, going through website and reaching to your browser and device. I don't know which level of cache is not deleted yet. In any case, you should wait for a day, some caches take one day to be purged.

BTW, please read my post above yours too.

Also, it would be better to delete the browser cache on website front-end by pressing [CTRL] + [F5], if you're using Safari/Mac press [CMD] + [ALT] + [E]

@tomson fixed it. CTRL F5 didn't work. I had to delete Chrome browser's complete cache. Not sure if it something was broken on the site and if any my approaches fixed it or if it was completely a browser cache issue. Please feel free to delete this whole post if you want. Thanks for the help.
