Hi there

I am currently limit the comment ability to certain role of user. I also want to let the post author be able to comment and reply the post, is there a way to do that?

No that does not work. Because the author are also the role which has disabled commenting. How can i make the author the ability to comment in any circumstances?

I'm sorry, but it is not possible yet. We've already added such a feature and are preparing new wpDiscuz version. Please wait for the next update it'll come soon.

When is it going to be published? i am eager to test out any trial version.

The reason why author cannot comment on their post is because that author is also belongs to a role that is prohibited to make any comment, that is the issue of duplication of roles. Your new plugin can overcome this issue?
