Hello,
I see fine the "edit" button next to "answer".
However, it doesn't seem to work : when I click it, some black bars on the top-right indicates it does something and then... nothing happens. Another user confirmed me he has the same issue.
I've done some css customization of the look & feel of comments and changed a bunch of defaults, however I don't see why it should change anything.
Let me know which information would help you to solve this and how to communicate further about this !
Blanca,
Did you do your customization before editing? Or after that?
Hello,
I changed the defaults and added custom css a long time ago. I don't remember testing editing before these changes, but at least after these it never worked.
The "edit" button is still firing some javascript.
The CSS restyles comment area width, font-size and color, but that shouldn't be an issue ?
Blanca,
could you please change it into default (we mean everything) and try again?
At first I thought it would be hard to do ; but I see there is a way to import/export setting.
I'll try and let you know.
Hello,
I had this on the backburner, but I came back to it today.
I tested a very simple thing : allowing comment editing for some time. It worked instantly. Even if it was set to the last 15 minutes, I could edit posts from days ago.
As I understand it, the edit options is there to allow guests to edit their posts.
Why should I activate this option to be able to edit in-place as an administrator ?
(Also, the ability to add a custom time would be a good addition to the edit option. I can probably change to what I want digging into the plugin file, but that's not very "clean")
Blanca,
Let's clarify, what is the issue in your end? How can I help you? Did you turn into default and try?
I would describe the issue like this : "As an admin (or anyone with moderator powers, another user had the same issue), I can't edit comments from the front-end unless I activate guest-editing"
I was going to turn everything to default, but I had the idea to test this before. Edit works fine as an admin as soon as I allow guests to edit.
I have not reset everything to default after that, because it seemed pointless, having very likely found the culprit.
