Hey There!

On our Website we konfigurate that it is not nessesery for not logged in users who want to leave a comment to give her email adress. So we mark the eMail-field in the wpdiscuz formulare as "not nessesery". So far so good.

If now a not registered (not logged in) user leave a comment and do not insert his email adress and check the "bell" (pls give me an information if someone is answering my comment), wpdiscuz give no sign/hint that the email adress has to be insert for this service.

thnx for helping

Nico

Hi @nick776,

I suggest you create a new HTML field  with the message like this:

"You should fill your email address before click on "Notify of new replies to this comment" button".

HTML

More info here:

Astghik, I think that this will not a good solution because if the visitor don't do this - insert his eMail - because he don't understand or overread it and he checkmarked the "bell" he get no allert that his eMail is missing.

I think wpdiscuz is so a such good and clear programmed product that this will from "your" side not a good solution...

Is there something else we can do?

thnx for helping so much

best regards from Germany

Nico

Hi Nick776,

Yes, the changes will be included in next version release.  But I can't provide any ETA when we'll realize the new version.
