I'm not sure what is going on but I'm certain there are guests who are seeing moderated comments. I have a guest whose email I have in the moderation list replying to a another guest's moderated comment but I cannot see those comments in the front end! I thought it might be based on subscriptions but the guest that replied to the moderated comment is using a fake email so they would not be getting email notifications. I was also thinking maybe caching might be causing it but I have a script clearing my page cache every 2 minutes. Any idea what is going on?

I think the guest use different emails and he see his own comments under moderation. This is the only reason. All commenters are the same guest. He may change IP addresses but the browser cookie is the same so WordPress detects own comments and displays and allows to reply.

I just came up with that possibility as well. I'm thinking it may be two different people using the same device/browser on different connections though...personalities are too different ;). Thanks for the feedback.
